THE FORECAST: And Then There Were Two

THE FORECAST: AND THEN THERE WERE TWO

It’s AFL Grand Final weekend, otherwise known as Puntapalooza (responsibly) with wall-to-wall racing and footy, a same-game multi paradise, a weekend to link together an unlikely number of horses in a life-changing Hail Mary bet across three days with confidence.

I can’t bloody wait.

Fitting then that on the weekend when the AFL season boils down to two teams, punters at The Valley on Friday night will witness what is essentially a match race between two of the country’s biggest big dogs, Pride Of Jenni and Mr Brightside.

Seabiscuit v War Admiral. Better Loosen Up v Let’s Elope. Pride Of Jenni v Mr B (sort of).

Head-to-head. Tooth and nail. Fighting to the end under lights at The Valley. So far it’s 4-to-3 in favour of Mr B – this will be crazy good.

I’m with PRIDE OF JENNI. Surely Dec Bates just controls this fro the front, slips Jenni some rein around the bend and it’s goodnight Mr B.

But that, dear punters, is just the entree. The Manikato Stakes is an absolute belter and HAYASUGI will earn herself a spot in The Everest in my humble opinion. I just hope Clinton McDonald gets let into Bond nightclub afterwards – we all remember when Dusty dropped him at the door after the 2017 granny don’t we?

The internet never forgets.

The Group 1 Golden Rose is ridiculous at Rosehill on Saturday. Here’s a big call, if BROADSIDING wins this fresh, they won’t beat him in the Guineas or the Cox Plate. I’d love to see LINEBACKER win this for Sam and Billy Miller – and if will be a very bad day to be a beer at the Sawtell Hotel if it does.

Their horse has the closing speed of this bloke.

As for the footy, it’s the Swans by 1pt. CHAD WARNER for Norm Smith after he kicks a goal following a controversial high tackle in the left forward pocket with 1.25 to play. His very own Leo Barry moment.

Launch mode. Engaged.
