Mental Health in the racing and breeding industry can sometimes go under the radar.
The pressures of the industry can be immense.
Behind the Barriers is a Mental Health and Wellbeing foundation aiming to eliminate mental illness in the thoroughbred, racing and breeding industry. Dedicated to educate, promote and offer a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing for racing industry personnel challenged by mental illness in Australia.
MintSports recently followed the journey of Lenny Russo (Bluegrass Bloodstock), as he competed a Boxing Challenge in support of Behind the Barriers and a fight for mental health.
This is his story.
